My name is Mike and I am an American-Swedish fly fisherman living in Sweden. As a transplant fly fisherman in Sweden, it is a bit hard to find information about where to fish, local conditions, rules, regulations, etc. in Sweden.
With this site I hope to help others to find information on some streams I have fished, recommendations, show some pictures and give some tips as well as provide info and links about fly fishing in Sweden (but not give away too much as it makes it boring for the fishing experience).
This will be to ease the trouble of countless hours of research, something I have done myself. Moreover, at the end of every page there will also be an interesting fishing quote which you may find suited to each river/page.
Additional pages include information about fishing from my home, Michigan, USA as well as a special page devoted to our "unofficial fly fishing club/team," Team Flannel. Updates will come regularly, though please be patient however, I am a busy PhD student, so it can take some time before I update everything....
"Often I have been exhausted on trout streams, uncomfortable, wet, cold, briar scarred, sunburned, mosquito bitten, but never, with a fly rod in my hand have I been less than in a place that was less than beautiful." Charles Kuralt
